Epilepsy can be a disaster for people who have it.

It affects mostly young people.

It can cause death, accidents, burns, deformities and social exclusion.

Yet it is treatable with a cure rate on simple medicines of over 50%.

Unfortunately it occurs in poor countries with fragile health services.

The global medical community (that’s you probably if you’re reading this!) needs to do more about it.
